BioFollowing a brief sojourn as a sea-faring toddler, I grew up in the metropolitan city of Karachi: a concrete jungle, bounded on the South by the Arabian sea, with a dangerously turbulent political climate that is almost redeemed by the perennial balmy weather & the delectable food available there in abundance.
My family moved to Canada in the summer of 1996 and settled in the centre of the universe, where I attended high school (during which I wrote a satirical meta-piece titled The 10 commandments of bad writers) and in which my mom and brother still live. After high school, I enrolled at the University of Waterloo in Southern Ontario, where I spent 6 wonderful years. a_chatterbox showed up there as well, choosing to live in the same dorm as I did. After graduating from the Computer Science program at UW, I moved to Silicon Valley.
I enjoy debate but I am always open to modifying my opinions when presented with a reasonable argument to do so because, unlike most people, I generally prefer losing arguments to winning them, since I tend to learn more that way.
Sadly, I've had to disable anonymous commenting due to the volume of spam I was beginning to receive.
